Offline & the FieldKo Atlas app

No signal? The work doesn't have to stop.

FieldKo Atlas is the mobile app for reps on the road and in store. Visits, surveys, photos and orders work offline, and the app holds every change until it can sync with Salesforce.

The problem

Stores are bad places for a signal.

Back rooms and cool rooms.Reception drops exactly where reps do their work.
Apps that stall.Online-only apps freeze mid-visit, so reps fall back to paper and type it up later.
Work that goes missing.Without clear sync rules, reps can't be sure what has reached head office.
What it does

Built to work without a connection.

Encrypted on the deviceEverything created, changed or deleted offline is saved in an encrypted database on the device and queued.
Pending ChangesThe Sync screen shows what is waiting to upload, with a sync history.
Background syncWhen the app opens, every 60 minutes by default, on return to the app and at check-out. Can be limited to Wi-Fi or business hours.
Upload orderRecords upload first, then their photos, so everything stays linked.
Conflict rulesFor visits, tasks, survey answers, orders and other core records, a newer Salesforce change is kept and the rep is told.
Loss warningsReset Sync and logging out warn when photos or files haven't uploaded yet.
Survey draftsLeave a survey partway through and pick up where you left off.
iPhone, iPad and AndroidFieldKo Atlas on the App Store and Google Play, in portrait and landscape.
Each user's languageThe app shows text in each user's Salesforce language, with your translations.

Your work is saved on this device and syncs with Salesforce when you're back online.

With no signal, reps keep working through the day. The app shows how many changes are waiting to sync.

Admins can check when each rep last synced, so managers know how current the data is.
