A new field, on every rep's phone

An admin adds a "Cooler type" picklist to the account in Salesforce and it appears in the app after reps sync and reset.

The story

Chris · Salesforce admin · Head office

The cooler program needs to know what type of cooler every convenience store has. On Tuesday morning Chris creates a "Cooler type" picklist on Account with four values, gives reps edit access through the company's own permission set, and adds it to the account page layout. He runs the Metadata Collector and asks reps to sync and reset that evening. By Wednesday the field is in the app, and 160 stores are recorded by Friday.

In Salesforce

Values entered in the app are on the account after sync, ready to report.
