Promo not up, reason recorded

A bottle shop hasn't built the funded display, and the rep records why, so the national account manager can fix it with head office.

The story

Ben · Field rep · Cellar Door Liquor, Newtown

Ben arrives at Cellar Door Liquor in Newtown at 3:20, the first Friday of the spring cider promo. The floor stack isn't there. The store manager, Kate, says head office didn't send the promo stock until Wednesday and the cases are still in the cool room. Ben answers the Promo Compliance Survey as not built, picks "stock not received in time" as the reason, photographs the empty floor space and adds Kate as the contact.

  1. A miss is still a resultThe survey records the display as not built, so the store counts against compliance, not as missing data.
  2. The reason comes from a listReasons are picked, not typed, so head office can see how many misses are stock, space or refusals.
  3. Who said it, and whenThe store contact and the time are saved with the answer, so the follow-up goes to the right person.
In Salesforce, after sync

Ben syncs at 3:52. The miss shows on the promo dashboard with its reason.
