Time in store, against plan

An agency compares actual time in store with planned time, and time in stores with time logged on, to price the next contract.

The story

Rachel · Agency operations manager · Sydney office

Rachel is repricing a snack brand's contract. Last month's visits for that brand were planned at 1,240 minutes in total. Actual time from check-in to check-out was 1,486 minutes, 120% of plan, mostly in the larger stores. Her merchandisers spent 71% of their logged-on time inside stores. She takes both numbers into the renewal: the brand's visits run longer than planned, and the agency can show exactly where the time went.
